This beautiful piece is labelled "Entr'acte", which is a French word meaning "between the acts" (intermezzo in Italian). Silvio Hein (1879-1928) wrote the music for 14 Broadway shows, was an accomplished composer and songwriter who lived in New York City. He primarily wrote songs for Broadway but also released a few ragtime pieces. On the cover it states: "Danced by the distinguished artists Maurice and Florence Walton at the Century Theater & The Biltmore". This piece was also recorded on piano roll by McNair Ilgenfritz in 1919. This score was published by Carl Millegram in New York in 1917.

Original score source was from Indiana University at this link: http://purl.dlib.indiana.edu/iudl/lilly/starr/LL-SSM-ALD3306
