Description
English: Original listing and sheet music here: https://musescore.com/user/36482158/scores/23204542?from=youtube_share
This interesting score was the only known published piece by Fate Marable (1890-1947), a famous pianist, recording artist and bandleader from New Orleans. He played regularly on a paddle steamer which plied the Mississippi River for decades. It was co-written by another famous pianist and bandleader from New Orleans, Clarence Williams (1893?-1965), who was also a singer, music publisher, promoter and producer and who later moved to New York. His own Williams and Piron Music Co. published this score in New Orleans in 1916. (The sheet music misspells Marable's name as "Fate Marble".)

Not to be confused with other compositions similarly named, such as Brun Campbell's "Barrel House Rag" from 1942.

Original score source was from the HathiTrust at this link: https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015070625317&seq=3

This is a reproduction of the original score but with formatting changes eliminating the D.S. jump.
